Motor Neuroscience and Neurorehabilitation Laboratory
Exciting News: MoNeL is relocating to the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign! We will officially begin our new chapter at UIUC in August 2026, continuing our mission to advance motor neuroscience and neurorehabilitation.
Welcome to the Motor Neuroscience and Neurorehabilitation Laboratory (MoNeL) at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
Officially launching at our new UIUC home in August 2026, our research seeks to understand the neural mechanisms of movement deficits and to develop innovative rehabilitation strategies that enhance functional independence and quality of life.
Building on our strong foundation of collaborations with clinical and academic partners—including the University of Houston, TIRR Memorial Hermann, Houston Methodist Research Institute, and the New Jersey Institute of Technology—we continue to combine science, technology, and clinical insight.
At MoNeL, research and education go hand in hand—we are dedicated to training the next generation of scientists and clinicians through mentorship and hands-on research. We invite you to explore this site to learn more about the people, projects, and discoveries that drive our mission.
