Volunteers Needed
Individuals Post-stroke Needed for Locomotor Research Study
Have you ever had a stroke? A locomotor research study at UH is underway to understand effects of perturbing postural balance (a sudden exposure to conditions that displace the body away from equilibrium) on walking and dynamic balance. The treadmill platform will be mechanically moved in a direction from side to side or toward front or back to perturb your postural balance while walking. You must have been diagnosed with a single stroke, be 18-75 years old, no history of musculoskeletal and neurological diseases or injury. $50 compensation (Target gift card) and parking validation will be provided for participation in this study.

Healthy Individuals Needed for Motor Control Research Study
A motor control research study at UH is underway to determine physiological mechanisms that induce people to react faster to a stimulus that will be visually presented on screen in the form of color and control their finger or foot more precisely. You must meet the following criteria:18-90 years old; right-handed; right-footed; 20/40 vision with or without corrective lenses; no cognitive impairment. $50 compensation (Target gift card) and parking validation will be provided for participation in this study.
